About the test

This urine test checks for recent exposure to amphetamines, benzodiazepines, marijuana, cocaine, certain opiates, and oxycodone. Any specimen that initially tests positive will be confirmed before the result is reported.

This test may be right for you if you are trying to find out if you were exposed to any of these six drugs or drug classes.

Drug testing detects the presence of specific drugs and/or drug metabolites in a urine sample to determine drug exposure. This test looks for the following 6 drugs, drug metabolites, and drug classes:

Amphetamines
Amphetamine, Methamphetamine

Benzodiazepines
Alphahydroxyalprazolam, Alphahydroxymidazolam, Alphahydroxytriazolam, Aminoclonazepam, Hydroxyethylflurazepam, Lorazepam, Nordiazepam, Oxazepam, Temazepam

Marijuana
Delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol metabolite (THC-COOH). A metabolite is a biomarker that is in the urine after a drug is processed by the body.

Cocaine
Benzoylecgonine, which is a cocaine metabolite.

Opiates
Codeine, Hydrocodone, Hydromorphone, Morphine, Norhydrocodone

Oxycodone
Noroxycodone, Oxycodone, Oxymorphone

No special preparation is required.

After you provide your specimen, it generally takes a few business days to process and release your test results. However, processing times may vary. Your test results will be available in a clear and easy-to-read report. If you have or create a MyQuest® account, you may be able to review your new results there with your other Quest results. Independent healthcare providers are available to discuss questions or concerns you may have regarding your results.

If your test result is positive, the lab will perform an additional confirmation test on the sample you have already provided at no extra cost to you. This helps to validate the positive result before it is reported, per standard recommended guidelines.
