About the Test
The Proov Confirm PdG test measures PdG (progesterone metabolite) levels in the urine over the course of 4 key days — also called the implantation window — to confirm successful ovulation.
Information from this test can help you determine if lack of ovulation or a problem with ovulation might be preventing you from conceiving.
This test can indicate if ovulation occurred, but does not predict the most fertile days of your cycle.
If you receive sustained positive or high PdG test results during the testing window, this indicates a successful ovulation.
If you do not receive positive PdG results during the testing window, we are unable to confirm ovulation.

FAQs
Ovulation starts with progesterone, a hormone important for successful implantation and pregnancy that your body normally only produces after ovulation. After circulating through the bloodstream, progesterone is released from the body as the urinary metabolite (or “marker”), Pregnanediol Glucuronide (PdG), which is highest during the implantation window. Measuring PdG levels provides insight into successful ovulation, a piece of the fertility puzzle that you can’t get from BBT (basal body temperature) or blood tests alone.
Sustained, elevated PdG levels during the second half of your cycle, the “implantation window,” is an indication of successful ovulation, which in turn increases your chances of successful conception. Low PdG levels during the second half of your cycle may indicate a lack of ovulation or problem with ovulation that could make it more difficult to conceive.
Successful ovulation refers to an ovulatory event in which ovulation occurs (meaning an egg was released) and PdG levels remain elevated for long enough during the implantation window to allow for a higher chance at successful implantation and pregnancy. Low PdG levels following ovulation can indicate a lack of ovulation or a problem with ovulation, which can make it more difficult to conceive.
Yes, you can confirm ovulation via progesterone blood tests over several days. However, PdG testing reveals more of the ovulation picture than a blood test alone. A progesterone blood test shows the level at one point in time – sufficient information to help tell whether or not ovulation occurred. But these tests fall short of confirming successful ovulation, since you must monitor levels across the key implantation window to understand if they were elevated high enough for long enough to indicate a successful ovulation.
Proov Confirm PdG is the first at-home test to confirm ovulation. Information from this test can also help you determine if lack of ovulation or a problem with ovulation might be preventing you from conceiving.
